Hello FJ friends,
Anna here again with a new layout to share. Today is Mix-it- Monday and it means that in today's project we play to mix Felicity Jane collections. And it's really fun and easy to do that with all these gorgeous goodies. For this layout, I mixed the Tori collection with surprise, surprise...Amanda!
I've had this design in mind for a while, and this project was perfect for that. First, I chose some papers from Tori and Amanda collections that matched so well. With the solid color papers, I cut outlined diamond shapes, and with the patterned papers, I made solid diamonds. I cut all of them in different sizes using a metal die cut set and my Big Shot. I also cut the photo in a diamond shape.
To give more dimension to my page, I glued some diamonds and my photo with foam dots in different thicknesses. To build the title I used two different puffy alphabets, one from the Tori collection and one from the Noel collection.
I didn't use a lot of embellishments because I thought the design was busy enough with the diamonds. I took two little chipboard bits from Grace collection. I placed one of them on the left side of the picture with a bow from the Tori puffy stickers. The other one fitted perfectly in a space below the word sweet.
Finally, I made a cluster on the upper left corner to balance the design. I glued three outlined diamonds, a label from the die cut shapes (where I stamped the phrase "love her" from the Lindsey stamp set), a flower from the Grace puffy stickers, and two epoxy dots.
I love how it turned out, and how easy it is to mix Felicity Jane collections. I hope you like it too! Thank you so much for stopping by today, and don't miss the September kit reveal tomorrow!!
Have a crafty week!
