Sweet Mabel Puppy | 6x8 Layout | Lindsey Lanning
Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! I have loved creating in TN inserts but I thought I’d switch things up for a while and work on a 6x8 album. One thing I like about this style is that I can sort of jump around and document photos from different times and then just insert them into the album as they fit.
I had this cute photo of our dog Mabel when she was a puppy and thought it would be fun to pair with the beautiful products from the Hannah Kit.
I really wanted to hoard every little piece of this floral paper from the Hannah | Paper Pack but I decided to break down and use a torn strip of it on a 6x8 piece of the wood grain paper. A small gold paper clip and wood veneer piece added some fun details without covering up too much of the floral design.
For the title I used the Hannah | Perfect Pink Epoxy Alphas, mixed with the Basics Lowercase I Stamp Set which I white heat embossed. I love how the white heat embossing really pops off the dark wood grain background.
How adorable is this face!? I added a soft warmth to the black and white photo so it would match better with the wood grain and browns in the Hannah Collection. I backed the photo with the dusty rose colored paper from the Hannah | Paper Pack and also pulled a tag from a previous kit.
I kept the embellishments minimal with a label from the Hannah | Label book, Kate | Word Stickers, and some Hannah | Epoxy Shapes. I wanted the focus to be on the photo and the beautiful papers behind it so I tried to keep things simple.
I decided to not include any journaling for the photo and just keep it sweet and simple. I’m looking forward to playing around with this slightly larger scale and being able to document some older photos as I feel inspired.
Which piece of the Hannah Kit are you hoarding? I’m 100% guilty of trying to hang onto pieces that I really love but I’m trying to be better about just diving in and committing to using up products!
