Hi FJ friends,
today its my turn here on the FJ inspiration page and I am so happy to be here again. The gorgeous new Shay collection is so amazing and I really love the add ons for this collection: the fantastic Tag Builder metal die is my favorite!
I decided to start with a layout with many tags. I had two cute little photos from our summer vacation on a sandy little island in Indonesia. Close to our hotel we had a little baby goat and she is called Maggi. Our children were over the moon and we visited her every single day to feed and to cuddle her. I found out, that my photos had the perfect size to shape them with the new tag builder metal dies into tags. The idea was to make a banner with many different tags.
First I used the tag builder metal die set and shaped my photos. Then I cut some of the cute patterns papers to little pieces and made many tags and tag parts from them. I used the papers Leaves & Stars, Flowers & Watercolor, Stripes & Petals, Stars & Squiggles and Floral & Gingham. I also used a piece of vellum and made a tag from this material. I used the Metal Dies for the branches and the word „Happy“ from the previous Sarah collection and used white Cardstock and some patterned paper to make my own Die Cut Shapes. I also used some tropical flower and leave metal dies to make more cute little details to decorate everything later. I built the tags and the different parts of the tags together and I had so much fun to make my individual tags. Aren’t they cute!?
I moved the tags and the photo tags on my white 12x12 cardstock to get the final position. I used my mini stapler to fix different tags together and to fix the word „happy" on my colored photo. Then I thread all my tags and photos on black twin. It looks very playful if you wiggle the twin a little bit around. I also fixed some cute wooden shapes and hearts and a yellow tassel from previous FJ collections on the twin. Then I typed my journaling and glued it on a floral tag.
I layered my black and white photo a little bit and used the cute Paper fringe from the Jenny collection and the tab from the Shay Die Cut for it. I glued one of those mini word stickers from the Jenny Kit on the tab and decorated the edge of the photo with some leaves and with the cute floral photo corner from the Shay Die Cut Shapes.
I cut the paper stripes from the bottom of the patterned papers Leaves & Stars and Flowers and Watercolors and glued it on my 12x12 page below. I put the journaling tag a little bit inside of the upper paper stripe and decorated it with the wonderful „Like“ Shay Die Cut and a mint miniwide paper clip. I used the soft pink Shay Chipboard Alphabet for my title, which I glued it on the paper stripe.
I fussy cut some of the cute little leaves from the Leaves & Stars paper and decorated with them my journaling. I also made a little line to the banner upstairs with them. I used the super cute Shay Puffy Word Stickers, the fun Arrows + Ampersands and the lovely Die Cut Shapes to decorate my different tags and the whole page. Then I used the Fj date roller stamp to stamp the date besides the journaling. I added the adorable Shay Chipboard Asterisks and some little Puffy Stickers from the previous Zoey collection. For the finishing touch I used the paper rests from the tag builder. These little mini circles from the holes are such a wonderful Shay paper confetti and I had to use them. I glued them around my tags and I love the soft touch of them. At the end I splattered some black paint across the page.
