Hello crafty friends! I am here today to share this week’s Take 3 Challenge. For this layout, I used the beautiful, new Emily collection. I am already in love with this soft, warm-tone collection. It is definitely giving me retro vibes.
Take 3 list:
1. Stamps
2. Cut files
3. Doilies
I have to say it truly was a challenge to use these items all in one layout but I love how they all came together. I started with this beautiful two-toned pink and brown patterned paper and white cardstock for my base.
Then I selected the “this is me” cut file and used the daisies from the file. I used the yellow floral paper and pink solid cardstock from a past collection with the cut file.
Next, I lined the whole left side of my page with the flowers. Then, I used the Emily Stamp Set to stamp the flowers with the days of the week. I thought this was very appropriate since I was recording my daughter’s school day routine.
I then used some doilies as a stencil to smudge a coordinating ink behind my photo cluster. I really like how the doilies looked with the color, so I ended up including them in my photo cluster.
Continuing my cluster, I used the pencil and florals from the Emily die cut shapes. The pencil was perfect because one of the photos included my daughter doing her homework. I added a cardstock tab sticker to record the date. I finished off my cluster with die cut hearts and word stickers. I added my “school days” title with the orange-brown Emily Puffy Stickers.
On the right side of my pages, I made a small cluster featuring daisies and chipboard flair. I also smudged a little pattern using ink and my doily behind this cluster.
I really enjoyed this Take 3 using the beautiful Emily collection. I definitely challenged myself and I love the outcome.
I hope you enjoyed this layout!
Xo, Desiree
