TAKE 3 I BUTTERFLIES AND RAINBOW LAYOUT I KERSTIN SCHEIDLER
Hello everyone!
My name is Kerstin Scheidler and I am happy to be here for my first Felicity Jane blog post as part of the FJ creative team.
Just in time for my first inspiration for you, "Mari" has arrived. I knew from the first time I saw the kit that I had to do something with these wonderful vellum butterflies.
Butterflies are a sign of hope for me and hope is something we can really use at this time.
My task was to create a layout for you with three things. Three things sounds little at first (who knows me knows that I like to use more than three elements for my creations ....) - I decided for sewing, paper (there the choice was totally hard for me - each paper has a great color or pattern!) and for the Vellum butterflies.
I first drew a rainbow with a thin pencil. Then I sewed along the lines I marked with the threads I chose - light pink, yellow, light blue and dark pink matching the Mari Vellum Butterflies.
On the left side of the rainbow I cut small strips from the papers "Floral", Woodgrain & Dotted Line" and "Pink & Peach Solid" and arranged them with 3D glue dots. From the "Floral" paper I punched out a few flowers and placed them next to the strips.
On the right side I cut out flowers from the "Floral" paper and glued them on. On it I have small photos of my daughter and me as we celebrate her birthday also attached with 3D glue dots. A few cut out leaves, small flowers and another punched out flower and this side is also done.
Then I added the wonderful vellum butterflies to my layout!
I was still missing something on the layout, so I made a few sprinkles with black ink, a small brush and some water.
I hope I could inspire you to create a layout with only 3 elements. I am very excited to see what you create with the magical "Mari" kit.
Thank you for stopping by!
Kerstin xx
