Hey there crafty pals! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I’m crazily documenting all the fun and festive happenings of the month, and love this layout I created with the Joy kit!
During our family Christmas Eve party, someone snapped these photos of Cody and I laughing. I felt like the photos completely summed up our wonderful Christmas Eve and I knew immediately I wanted to create a layout around them! The Joy kit was perfect for doing this, and since I’m obsessed with every aspect of the collection, I ended up using most of the elements on my page.
I couldn’t resist adding this gorgeous tree tag with one of the ribbons from the kit. It added that little extra something that the left side was needing for balance. I also put a little cluster of word stickers that summed up the event perfectly!
For the title of the layout, I knew I wanted to do a few things: First, I wanted to use two different alphas to mix it up a bit, since my title is fairly long. Second, I wanted to bring in another gold element to tie in the heart washi tape I used on the layout. The Autumn white and gold alphas were perfect for this!
At the top of the page, I clustered a couple journal cards with a patterned paper. Then I added various embellishments to add texture, and popped my date into one of those fun labels from the die cut pack. To finish off the layout, I splattered a little gold watercolor around the layout because it was just a little too clean for my messy style!
