Hi scrappy friends,
Ulli here today with a fall layout with the wonderful FJ Rebekah collection. I am totally in love with all these soft fall colors and the cute patterns and beautiful flowers and embellishments in this kit! I’ve made a 12x12 page with this collection and when I went through the papers the first time I knew I wanted to use the wooden and the leopard paper directly.
For this page I cut out a big square with 10.5x10.5 inch out from the Woodgrain & Chevron paper. I only wanted to use the wooden paper as a frame and so I don’t waste to much from this pretty woodgrain paper. I cut a FJ Essentials cardstock in white to 11.25x11.25 Inch and glued it on the wooden paper frame. After that I stitched with my sewing machine two times around the border. I’ve used white thread for it.
Then I made a tag with my all times favorite Shay metal die and used the Leopard & Pinstripe paper for it. I had some pieces made with the Shay tag builder and the Shay collection over and so I decided to use the pink striped paper to give the leopard tag a wonderful contrast. In my picture there are some pink hibiscus flowers and so I wanted to bring more pink accents to my page. I took the Hello Pumpkin journaling card and also cut it to a tag shape too. I punched a hole into the top and added yellow satin ribbon on it. I wanted to do some hidden journaling with this tag. So I cut my photo a little bit smaller and used a circle punch to punch a semicircle in the middle of the border on the top. So it was able to use the photo as little bag for the two tags. Then I decided where to place the photo stamped two of the cute branches from the cute Rebekah stamp set behind the picture.
I decorated the photo with those wonderful floral Rebekah Die Cut Shapes - I really love the flowers and the branches. Then I used a label and the Jenny word stickers to add the month when the picture was taken.
I glued the title on and under my photo and used three different FJ alphabets for it: the wonderful white Puffy Rebekah Alphabet, the Shay Chipboard Alphabet in pink and the thin and black Zoey Puffy Alphabet Stickers. For the I on the i dot from the first word I’ve used one of these adorable little hearts from the Rebekah puffy alphabet.
I stitched five of these beautiful Rebekah Vellum hearts on my page and fixed one of the cute mini wide paper clip in mustard on my photo. I wrote my journaling on the back from the Hello Pumpkin tag and put it behind the picture again. Then I glued two of those gorgeous little rubber charms on the bottom of my page and stamped the word „Home“ with the Rebekah stamp against them. I also stamped with the FJ date roller stamp the year on my page. Then I splattered some black ink across the page and added some of the mini puffy shapes of the Zoey and the Brooke collection on my page. First I thought I would have finished my layout, but then I thought something was missing. So I decided to stitch some little cross in different colors on my page. The Tinker Bell pumpkin needed a little bit more magic on my layout. I always pierced 4 holes with the piercing tool in my cardstock and later I used yellow, orange, black, pink and bright pink thread to stitch them by hand on my layout. I always made a knot on the backside of the layout to fix the yarn there.
I really love these little details on my layout. They are so playful and cute. I found some orange Epoxy hearts from the previous Henley collection and added them between the hearts too.
To finish off my page I added a yellow Epoxy Heart from the Lindsey collection on the label and a pink puffy shape besides it.
