Tips and Tricks | Using Your Felicity Jane Kit in Your Planner

September Weekly Planner Spread by Anita Patel | @FelicityJane

Hi Everyone! Happy Friday! Anita here today to share a few tips and tricks on how to use your Felicity Jane kit in your planner. There are so many scrapbooking, pocket page and planner supplies out there today and sometimes it can be very overwhelming. What I love about the Felicity Jane kits is that they are so versatile and can be used for any type of paper crafting project. The papers and embellishments are designed in such a way that you can create almost any type of project with just one kit. Today I'm going to share a few tips on how to incorporate the Felicity Jane Maggie kit into a weekly planner spread.

First, I pulled out items from the kit that I thought would work well as both functional and decorative elements on my spread. I also tried to keep in mind what elements would work best on a smaller canvas like my A5 planner pages. Here's what I chose:

My favorite elements to use in my planner from the above photo are the awesome branding strips at the bottom of each sheet of patterned paper. The designs are on a smaller scale which is perfect for a planner and they can be used in the same way you would use washi tape in your planner. I chose a few strips to place at the bottom of my spread and also used a strip to divide the weekdays into two sections so I could separate my appointment space from my to-do list section. Similar to the branding strips are the fun strips Jeana often includes on the cut-apart sticker sheet each month. I used the aqua one across the top of my spread and the beautiful floral one down the center of my spread.

Another item in the Felicity Jane Maggie kit that is great for planners is the stamp set. There are so many stamps in this set that are perfect for planners. In my spread, I used the hexagon shape to mark various appointments I have throughout the week. I also used the cute heart bullets and set of lines to create small to-do lists at the bottom of each day. There are also several fun words in this set that can be used as decorative additions to any spread. So many options!

Finally, I cut a few images from the cut-apart sticker sheet to decorate my week and added my favorite Felicity Jane letter stickers at the top to spell out "September". I also stamped the date on each day using an older Felicity Jane stamps set from last December but a new, similar set was recently released and I've linked it below for your convenience. Here are a few close-ups to show how I used the stamps and stickers:
