Hello, Everyone!
Today I'd like to share a bright Traveler's Notebook (TN) spread with you using the fun and colorful Jaimee kit! As soon as I saw the beautiful green color in this kit I knew I was going to have to find a way to use it on some projects, and these photos that were taken in one of my favorite boba cafes were perfect. I love that little rainbow decoration that can be seen in the top photo. It was up to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, which I think is just so fun.
I had two square photos for this layout, so the placement possibilities were kind of endless, but I went with my tried and true method of lining them up on one side of the page so I could have my journaling opposite them. As fun as it is to figure out new layout options and fuss over a new style, I've also learned that it's okay to not always reinvent the wheel. When you know something is going to work, just go for it. In the end the most important part for me is getting my stories told.
Once I had my photos down I tied them together using that strip of green patterned paper, which was actually a branding strip from one of the Jaimee kit papers. I also added some puffy stickers for some added detail, and stamped out those cute stitching lines to make it look like the scrap paper was sewed onto the page.
On the right side of my spread I kept things really simple by printing my journaling onto the backside of a journaling card. I love that the Felicity Jane journaling cards always have a neutral backside, because sometimes that's just what's needed for a page. I love how that simple card looks paired with the yellow star pattern paper behind it.
I'm so happy with how this simple TN layout turned out. As you can see with this project, it doesn't have to take a lot of time to get a pretty layout and to get those stories told!
Happy Crafting,
Sarah
