Hello everyone!
Mandy back with you today to share a traveler's notebook layout that I created using the gorgeous Jill collection. I decided to focus on the mustard and grey in the kit for this layout, with a few pops of black and white as well. I wanted to document this recent photo of my youngest daughter and I, and to record how I'm feeling about where she's at right now. This will be her last year before she starts big school in 2020, and I just can't believe where the time has gone and how quickly she's grown into this beautiful little 4 year old!
I started my layout off by adding a strip of the beautiful grey floral patterned paper down the left hand side of the spread. I also tucked the scallop branding strip off the mustard solid color paper under the edge of the grey floral paper. I really love the detail that this adds to the page, as well as the pop of colour.
Next I added a couple of layers behind my photo using a journaling card from the kit, as well as a die cut tag. The layers add some additional interest to the page, and they also help the photo to really stand out. I adhered the photo stack on the left hand side of the spread, and I also added a cute chipboard embellishment on the bottom right hand corner of the photo.
I covered the right hand side of the spread with the grey grid patterned paper from the new Essentials Paper Pack. I added some thin strips of patterned paper across the top and bottom of this page, repeating the colours that I'd used on the left hand page. I also cut the mustard coloured heart out of one of the Jill journaling cards and adhered it towards the bottom half of the page, layering a die cut label on top. I wanted to make sure that I left room on this page to add my journaling.
I typed my journaling up on my typewriter and cut it up into strips to add to my layout.
I'm really happy with how this TN layout turned out, and I'm so glad that I've recorded some of my current feelings and thoughts on this layouts as well. Thanks so much for joining me here today! I hope that you've been inspired.
