"Today" Layout | Sheree Forcier

Hi FJ Friends!

I was so excited to dive into the gorgeous new Grace Kit this month. This kit is so pretty with its mix of colours, patterns and florals it inspired me to create a layout design that would allow me to showcase as many of my favourite papers as possible.

I cut some white cardstock to 10.5 inches wide and backed it with the “Rows” paper to create the side borders.

I cut six tags from six different patterned papers…all 4” x 2.5” inches in size, then added the little hole re-inforcer pieces that I cut using the Shay Tag Builder Metal Die Set. I made sure to mix and match the colours on each tag to make it fun and colourful. Machine stitching was added around the edge of each tag.

The tags were arranged in groups of two down the page and I made sure the holes of each were all positioned to the centre of the page. A length of twine was tied to each set of tags to join them together. I love the texture and interest this brings to the page!

I had 3 x two inch square photos and 3 x lots of journaling printed out to display on each tag.

For each journaling tag I added stitching and a stamped word from the Grace Stamp Set.

Then I set about decorating each photo tag with puffy stickers, die cut shapes, chipboard bits and labels cut from the "Labels" patterned paper from the Grace Kit.

I also added an ampersand sticker from the Shay Kit too.

For the title at the bottom of the page I stamped “This Is What……..Looks Like” from the Grace Stamp Set onto white cardstock and cut the words into two strips, then added the puffy “today” word from the Alexis kit to complete the phrase. I also used a line stamp from the Shay Stamp Set to underline the today word.

The date was stamped onto the mint die cut label using the FJ Roller Date Stamp. Stitching was added to both the title and the date label.

Tags are an element I use so often in my projects…one of my favourite things to use in my designs! I love that I was able to fit six of them on this layout…so fun!
