Hi everyone! Mandy here with you today, and I'm sharing a layout that I created using the beautiful 'London' kit!
But first I just want to say how very excited and honoured I am to be staying on the Felicity Jane Creative Team for another term! For those of you who don't know me, I live in Australia, I'm married to Andrew, and we have three kids - Abigail (12 years), Isaac (9 years), and Eleanor (2 years). I've been scrapbooking for about 12 years, since my oldest was a baby, and I enjoy it now more than ever! I love preserving my family's precious memories, and I equally love the creative outlet that scrapbooking provides! I mostly like to create 12x12 layouts, as well as traveler's notebooks. Here's a look at my layout...
I documented a sweet photo of my youngest daughter and our kitten that I took recently. The colours in the photo coordinated perfectly with the pinks and yellows in the kit! This design was a bit different for me, but I enjoyed trying something new, and I'm happy with how it turned out!
I used the grey dot patterned paper as my background, and kept the black scallop branding strip on the bottom. I like how this grounds the page. I also added a strip of the yellow grid patterned paper along the bottom.
Originally when I started this layout, I intended to create a grid design, but I decided along the way, that rather than keeping all of the elements of the grid tightly in the centre of the page, that I would spread them out, in order to give each segment 'room to breathe'. I like how this provided five points of interest on the page where I could focus my embellishing.
As always, the florals in this kit are gorgeous!! I fussy cut this one from the sticker sheet and added foam tape underneath to give it some extra dimension. The yellow patterned paper underneath really helps it to pop off the page as well.
The 12x12 sticker sheet is one of my favourite things about this kit! Nearly all of the embellishments on my page are from the sticker sheet, including my title! How pretty is this font?!!
There are four beautiful tags included on the 'London' sticker sheet as well, and I love this black and white striped one!! I popped a heart sticker on top using foam tape, and tied some twine through it to finish it off.
I stamped the date onto one of the labels and then adhered it to a square of pink striped patterned paper. You can also see here the flair button that I added to the layout. I can't get enough of the Felicity Jane flair buttons!
