Today TN Layout | Mandy Melville

Hey everyone!

Mandy here, and today I have a new traveler's notebook layout to share with you using the gorgeous Hannah collection! I absolutely LOVE my FJ white scalloped Traveler's Notebook! From the soft leather cover, to the sweet little dots on the inside, and the beautiful scalloped edge... It is completely divine! Inside my traveler's notebook, I'm currently working in an insert that is all about me! The photo that I've documented on this layout is one of my youngest daughter Eleanor and I, taken on my birthday last month. Here's a look at the completed spread...

I started my layout off by adding a strip of the floral patterned paper down the left hand side. I also tucked the scalloped branding strip off one of the solid color papers underneath the edge of the floral paper. I like the lovely detail that this adds to the page!

In the bottom left hand corner of the layout, I layered together a few of the labels from the Hannah Label Book. How brilliant is this little book?! I love using labels for layering and for journaling on, and that's exactly what I did on this page! You can also see here that I tucked some cute die cut leaves under the bottom edge of the labels.

I added my photo over on the right hand side of the spread, and I created some layers behind the photo using a couple of journaling cards from the kit. On the bottom left hand corner of the photo I made a pretty floral cluster using some fussy-cut flowers, as well as some die cut leaves. To give the cluster some added interest, I tucked some of the flowers under the photo, and others I adhered over the edge. I also added a couple of die cuts on the right hand side of the photo.

For my title, I cut the word 'today' out of one of the journaling cards. At the top of the page I added another die cut flower, which I adhered so that it was hanging over the edge of the page a little, and I cut the excess off. This is one of my go-to techniques, as I think it adds more interest, and stops the cluster from looking like it's 'floating' on the page. I finished the layout off with a couple of the cute little epoxy hearts, as well as a little bit of stamping using the little trio of dots from the Hannah stamp set.

Thanks so much for joining me here today! I hope that you've been inspired by my layout! If you've been undecided about trying a traveler's notebook, then I'd encourage you to give it a try! I love seeing my inserts get super chunky like this one is as I fill the pages with photos, journaling, and lots of pretty things!
