Hello FJ friends!
Tina here with you today with my new fall layout using the gorgeous Harper kit. Aren't the colors and all the embellishments of this collection simply so beautiful? Once I received the kit I knew I want to create a project with it documenting our visit to a pumpkin patch.
I started by cutting an autumn leaves wreath with my Silhouette Cameo out of white cardstock. Next I backed it with a few pattern papers from the Harper and Rebekah collections and a gold glitter paper from my stash. I really like the look of gold glitter on the Harper die cut shapes so I decided to add some to my wreath too. After that I chose a mustard yellow polka dot paper and a greenish gray plain one for the background. At first I was going to use the whole wreath for the layout but then decided to trim it a little so it would look more interesting on the page.
Next I matted the photo of my daughter and husband with a greenish gray grid paper, added a title "together" and a few other die cut shapes from the kit. I wanted to keep it simple as the wreath around had already created a busy look with all the leaves and different colors of it.
After that I added strips of paper with my journaling and stitched them along the top. And to create a smooth transition from the plain paper to the polka dot one I added a ribbon die cut. I wanted to stamp the word "grateful" from the phrase "start & end each day with a grateful heart" of the Harper stamp set. So I simply covered all the other words with a few pieces of washi tape, added black ink, removed the washi and stamped "grateful" on the ribbon banner. And then my page was ready!
Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today! And have fun creating some beautiful projects with the Harper kit!
