Hi everyone!
Today I have a layout to share that I’ve created with the Jeana Kit and the Sketchy Heart cut file.
The sketchy heart was cut out using my silhouette machine. I used the cut piece as a template to create a second heart out of plain white cardstock which I then covered with patterned paper squares. The patterned paper heart was then adhered behind the sketchy heart cut file piece.
The heart was then adhered to the centre of an 11 inch square white cardstock background which I layered on top of two other papers – the diagonal black and white stripe and the mustard solid colour paper. I then used my sewing machine to add some messy stitching onto some of the patterned paper squares inside the heart and a border around the edge of the white cardstock. A paper piercer was then used to poke holes along each of the sketchy heart outlines which I then handstitched using some embroidery thread.
The photo was layered onto a white tag from my stash, then I added a strip of mustard scalloped paper along the left side with some stitching. More embellishments were added including a Jeana Kit floral die cut, tassel bow and puffy yellow heart. The Jeana chipboard alphas were adhered down the left side of the tag and I love how subtle the light grey colour looks! I also added a Brie Kit chipboard flair and vellum butterfly.
I then used three stamps from the Essentials Mini Stamp Set 2 and the FJ date stamp under the tag to finish off the page.
You can see my process in the video below…
Have you tried any of the Felicity Jane cut files yet? They are so fun! I hope I’ve inspired you to have a go!
Thank you for dropping by the inspiration page today! I look forward to bringing you another project, this time using the new Lola Kit, very soon!
