Hey crafty friends. It’s Desiree here and today I am sharing a traveler’s notebook spread using the new Ginny collection. This collection is lovely and I was excited to create with the blues, reds, and yellows it included. I selected a picture from a July fourth family gathering from 2016.
I started the spread by backing both of the pages with this fun colorful grid paper. I thought it would be a great, simple backdrop for my pages. I also added a little texture with texture paste and the scallop stencil, but I ended up covering most of it with my photo. Next, I layered the right side with the yellow floral patterned paper cut into a smaller rectangle. I distressed the edges then adhered it to the page. To back my photo, I used a small cluster using the scalloped patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pack. I used the red layered star to finish this cluster. Underneath, I used the white alphas to make my title “Together”.
I used my left page for typed journaling. I typed my journaling on white cardstock then cut it down to a small rectangle and adhered it to the page. I added a strip of daisy washi tape to the top. Then I dated the spread using a label I fussy cut from the label patterned paper.
I decided to have fun and use several stamps on this page. I love how it turned out. I finished off my spread by adding enamel hearts and sequin ephemera to the page. I think it resulted in a fun, spirited entry into my traveler’s notebook.
I hope you enjoyed today’s spread. Don’t forget to cut out a little crafty time for yourself.
