Tori Birthday Cards | Sheree Forcier

Hello friends!

Today I have some fun birthday themed cards to share with you featuring the gorgeous Tori Kit. As soon as I saw everything in this kit. especially the stamp set,  I knew I wanted to make some cards. It’s always so handy to have a few cards in your stash ready to go whenever you need them!

I couldn’t wait to play around with the cute birthday cake stamps in the Tori Stamp Set so this was the first card I put together. I gathered some inks from my stash that I thought would go well with the colours in the kit, then experimented to figure out which colour to use for each element. I stamped the cake in pink ink onto some white cardstock, cut it out and added some foam dots behind it to create a little dimension. The cake stand and the candles were then stamped directly onto white cardstock, and I added the fussy cut cake on top.

I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out to adhere above the cake with foam dots. I decided on the grid paper for the background of the card and stitched around the edge. The stamped piece was also trimmed down and backed with some of the solid colour paper. I stitched around the border of the white cardstock, added some twine to the bottom, then adhered it onto the grid paper with foam adhesive.

Next up I wanted to create a card featuring the adorable Tori girl die cut. I chose the green spotty paper for the background and stitched around the edge. A tag was cut from white cardstock and I added a reinforcer piece to the top which I cut from the solid colour paper using the Shay Tag Builder Metal Dies. Across the bottom of the tag I added some of the colourful striped branding strip and added some stitching. Twine was also added to the top of the tag.

I used the awesome jumbo die cut numbers on the tag along with the Tori girl die cut. The phrase “it’s your special day” was stamped onto white cardstock, cut to size then added to the tag along with the puffy alphabet stickers for the word “today”. A little more stitching was added before adhering the tag to the card front with foam adhesive.

For the third card I couldn’t resist fussy cussing some of the beautiful flowers from the floral paper. I cut some flowers from the edge of the paper and one flower which was whole with a leaf. I trimmed the leaf off so I could play with the positioned of it on the card. The background of this card front was cut from the solid colour paper and I made sure to include the scalloped edge at the bottom of the piece. I stitched around the edge before adding the flowers.

The fussy cut florals with the straight edge were added first directly onto the card, then I added the full flower on top with foam dot and tucked the leaf in underneath. I stamped “surprise” onto white cardstock and cut it out, then layered it onto the bottom right of the card with some more of the colourful striped branding strip. I added some more stitching, some twine and finished off with a few epoxy dots.
