Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! It’s been a little crazy in the Lanning house lately as we were involved in a car accident last week. No worries, we are all mostly okay but I did want to create a special little gift for a friend who helped us out while we waited to get a new car. The Bailey Collection was perfect for putting together a little treat bag with a gift card pocket! You can find the process video for this project at the end of the post.
I found a gift bag cut file and cut it, as well as a 5”x4” piece, from the beautiful patterned papers from the Bailey Collection.
I usually have to use cardstock or double up papers when creating something like this but the Felicity Jane papers are a perfect weight and the double sided pattern makes for a fun interior as well!
For the pocket, I used a pocket punch board but you can find lots of templates online as well. I made sure to measure my gift card ahead of time to make sure that the pocket was sized appropriately and, added bonus, it was the perfect size to fit on the outside of the bag but you could also put it inside with the treats.
Before tying the bag closed with one of the new cotton ribbons, I created a tag cluster with the Bailey die cuts and a chipboard sticker.
The Madison alphas were the perfect size for adding my friend’s name to one of the labels. I added a couple of staples to the label before adhering it to the bag for some added texture.
I adhered the gift card pocket to the back of the bag with adhesive and used some die cuts and epoxy heart stickers for some simple embellishment.
Before gifting this adorable bag to my friend, I’ll throw in a coffee gift card and some of her fave chocolates wrapped in the polka dot tissue paper that my kit came packaged in!
I know we might have a tendency to want to keep the beautiful Felicity Jane products to ourselves but maybe you could set aside some to create a simple treat like this for a friend and bring a little Felicity Jane beauty to their day too!
