Hi FJ friends!
Ulli here with you and I have a summery page for you. I thought many of you have your vacation pictures printed now and so I wanted to do a vacation scrapbooking page as inspiration. I´ve used the wonderful Kolly collection and the Kayla stamp set. First I´ve searched for a picture which matches perfectly to the cute Kolly collection. Kolly is a collection to scrap celebrations, but you can use it also for other themes and pictures. As you can see it works also perfectly with some palm trees and vacation vibes. Here is my whole layout.
I made a layout for my FJ "My Memories Notebook" and so I cut the Essentials White Cardstock into 7.5 x 9.5 inches. I love this format. It is not too small and not to big and you save space at home. I want to change my scrapbooking style in future because the big 12x12 albums are needing so much space and I don't have any free space anymore.
After cutting the paper I´ve cut the color palette strip from the Kolly collection from blush to moss and cut it into two pieces. I´ve glued it on the bottom of the page and on the right side. The other strip I added overlapped on the first one. Then I added my pictures on the pinkish colors of these stripe.
To show many of the super cute Kolly patterns, I´ve decided to make one part of my title with big self-made letters. I used a stencil and made all the letters of the word "tropical" from different Kolly patterns. You have to cut them out with good scissors and some of the letters I´ve made twice, but I love how it turned out. I've used the following papers: "Lattice & Polka Dot", "Dots & Sparkles", "Floral & Gingham", "Stars & Hearts" and "Spots & Confetti". Some of them I´ve used with both sides, others only with one of the patterns. I used the mossy solid cardstock from the Kolly kit and used a metal die to make a 3 inch circle with a stitched border. Then I glued it on the top of the paper and cut the overlapping part with my scissors. I glued the word "Tropical" with my big self-made letters on the top and the word "vibes" with the cute Kolly Puffy Alphabet under it.
I wanted to use the cute blush Emma Bookplate and so I´ve backed it with white Essentials Cardstock and stamped the word "Relax" with the Kayla Stamp Set on it. I added it on the left side beside my picture and made holes with my piercer for the white brads. I also added the Kayla Chipboard Bit "Summer" under it and decorated the picture with the heart and rainbow die cut of the Kolly collection. I also added the sunset/sunrise stamp from the Kayla collection and positioned it over the pinkish Bookplate.
I added the place where the picture was taken and the year on the blush Kolly label with black thin fine liner and glued it on the right side of my picture.
At the end I splattered black ink across my page and added some of the Megan Dot Stickers with the hearts here and there. I also used the Happy YOU Day Metal Die with white cardstock and I glued the little stars in different sizes on my page. I´ve started from the bottom of the left side and went over the page to the top of the right side of the page.
