Hello! Anita here today to share a layout I created with the Caroline kit. It's been a long time since I've made a 12x12 layout but I was so inspired to do so when I saw those cute tags in the die cut pack this month. I thought it would be fun to create a grid design using the tags and built my page around them.

I first selected a somewhat neutral background for the tags and backed it with a more busy and colorful pattern for a pop of color around the edges. Then I laid out the three tags from the die cut pack and created more tags using various patterned papers and one of the journal cards from the Caroline kit. 

To add a little visual interest, I thought it would be neat to add some of the label die cuts in one of the sections of the grid and then embellish them with silicone hearts. The silicone shapes and words were a great way to embellish many of my tags and I used several throughout the page. The sentiments were perfect for the theme of my layout and the dimension they added provided a nice texture too.

I then printed a few photos of me and my husband and trimmed them to fit inside my tags. I love the look of the photos on the tags and it's a nice way to get several photos onto a single layout.

Finally, I created a little cluster of die cuts to house my title and placed the chipboard alphas right on top. I printed out the date on a piece of paper and adhered it to the small tab in the right hand corner of the cluster.

Here's another look at the whole layout. Grid designs are my favorite and I love that there are so many ways you can customize this design to add your own flair and make it unique. You can choose any shape you want and it's always a formula for success. i challenge each of you to create a project using a grid design and look forward to seeing your creations.
