Using a TN to Document a Weekend of Fun | Andrea Gray

Hey friends! A few weeks ago I attended and spoke on a panel at an event called PlannerCon in San Francisco, CA. It was such a fun weekend and I took lots of photos, of course. I thought a traveler's notebook would be the best way to document the weekend!

Using the Henley and Alexis kits - I completed several pages and am excited to share them with you today! I decided to paint the cover of this polka dot TN insert and I used the puffy alphas to make the title. 

On the first page, I stamped the MORE OF THIS stamp directly on the large photo. 

I used 3 paints to make a fun striped background and layered a journaling card from Alexis and added lots of little enamel and epoxy shapes on each color.

This page featured a lot of the Henley die cut shapes and I really enjoyed the simplicity of the florals and word strips to tell the story.

My favorite page so far is this one that captures Suzanna and I at the event. I used lots of the washi stickers for a fun cluster section at the top and used a combination of puffy alphas and dotted alpha stickers to make my title, which was a quote I said while we were crafting one night. 

The polka dot alphas didn't stand out enough against the teal puffy alphas so I outlined them in a similar color.

After this swoosh of mint pain dried, I stamped this sentiment from the Love Note stamp set.

Since I was in the mood for getting messy and using paints - I decided to give the heart stencil a try! I loved how it turned out! Not wanting to cover it up too much, I chose a transparent wax bag to show a bit of the pattern through it and tucked a trimmed piece of grid journaling card with a story on it.
