Valentine Pillow Boxes | Ulrike DoldFeb 08, 2019
Hi FJ friends!
Ulli here with you today sharing my first blog post in February. I am so happy to show you a pretty Valentine idea with the adorable new Lindsey collection and the Lindsey stamps and metal dies! It´s so exciting that Felicity Jane now have metal dies in the shop. Their quality is fantastic and I love working with them. And the best thing is, that they are compatible with the Lindsey stamp set and so its so easy for you to create pretty die cut shapes and wonderful effects on your projects with them!
When I saw the cute Lindsey collection I thought about Valentines Day I decided that I would love to make some Pillow boxes for some sweets and maybe some little letters for my loved ones. Maybe you also need some little gifts for special people in your life and this idea could be perfect for you.
The Pillow boxes have the size 3.25 x 4.5 inch and I cut them with my Silhouette Cameo and the wonderful FJ Lindsey papers „Floral & Pin Stripes“, „Hearts & Dot Grid“ and „Sketchy Dot & Love“. You only have to bend the papers after cutting a pillow box and you need only one stripe glue tape to glue this box together. They are so easy and quick to make!
One thing I loving about FJ is the contrast between the colored patterned papers and the black and white ones. So I used two colorful papers and two black and white patterns from the adorable Lindsey collection and create four different boxes with them.
For the first box I used the mint, blush, and hot pink solid papers, my big shot and a flower metal die to cut out the leaves and the flower. Then I glued all the parts together and glued it on my striped pillow box. I stamped the „xoxoxo“ stamp on a piece of white cardstock and cut it out by hand to a little banner shape. I glued it into the flower and decorated it with pink sequins in two different sizes.
For my second box I used the wonderful „love“ script from the Felicity Jane metal dies and cut it out from the blush solid cardstock and white cardstock. I glued it together and I love the dimensional look of this word. I cut out a paper strip from the wonderful floral paper from the Lindsey collection and made with a metal die a bow from this floral patterned paper. I glued the paper stripe around the box and placed the bow on it. Then I decorated it with the „love“ script. I really love how the floral paper and the polka dot paper look together.
For my third box I decorated the box with the wonderful heart paper. This pattern is super cute and I love the bright colors so much! I bind black bakers twin around the box and attached a Eveline Wood Heart wooden heart and two of the wonderful Joy mini tassels in black and white on the twin. I stamped the phrase „With All My Heart“ on the blush solid paper and cut a banner. Then I glued it with 3 D glue dots on the box.
For my 4rd box with the Love paper I used the cute Lindsey flower stamp and the die in this flower shape to create two little die cut flowers in blush and mint. I stamped the „Love ya!“ Stamp on white cardstock and cut it out. I glued it on the little Lindsey Die Cut tag and used one of the wonderful pink miniwide paper clips from the Jill collection to have a sweet little eye catcher on the top. Then I layered it on the top of the box.
You see… it is so easy to make and decorate some of these little pillow boxes with the wonderful Lindsey collection! Cant wait to see what beautiful projects you will create with this adorable papers and embellishments! Have fun!
Thank you for stopping by today! Until the next time.
