Hello everyone,
It is mini album time! Yay! What other project is more perfect for matching all the kits (and for using my stash) than a mini album! I had a real blast with this one. The construction is inspired by the amazing Bea Valint and I have been dying to give a try for such a long time.
When choosing the material I decided to go for a certain colour palette: mint (I have had some real addiction to this colour recently!), yellow (the summer yellow), dark blue and pink. And of course black and white a signature scheme for all Felicity Jane. Therefore I used papers mostly from the Sarah collection, Bailey, Elizabeth and Shay. The spine of the album is an accordion folded paper on which I was adding different sized layers of inserts. For the cover I used a foil that I decorated with white marker tracing the phrases from Elizabeth paper. The title (Elizabeth Chipboard Alphabet) is Wien which is German for Vienna and I went for this name because it was shorter and it fitted nicely the cover picture.
Oh I love all those layers. This is probably my chunkiest holiday mini album ever. I added different sizes, patterns, lots of interactive elements like envelopes, flip cards, waterfalls. Let's have a peek inside, shall we?
The album begins with our visit to a lake. Mind you, it was summer 2018 and it was crazily hot. Not the best time for sightseeing with two kids and a baby, right. The theme is just perfect for using the summery Elizabeth collection with lemons and brilliant beach chipboards.
Since I created the spine a bit wider I was not worried about using thick chipboards. Quite the opposite: the more the better. The word 'Thankful' is from the Harper Stamp Set.
What kind of mini would it be without a vellum! The brilliant chipboard alphabet is from the Lola collection.
And more vellum and more alphabet. These white puffy stickers are from the Rebekah collection. The Felicity Jane alphabets are all a must have. So many beautiful fonts and neutral colours.
The title Day 2 is created with the Megan alphabet stickers (I love this cursiva font) and WOW is from the Denise alphabet. The solid colour paper in every collection is such a great idea. It matches the kit nicely and you can easily make your own embellishments by using a cutting machine. It is also brilliant for layering under your photo.
Another puffy title. I used the phrases from the Sarah collection and thanks to the soft material I could place them in a circle.
I have a few smaller pages in the album which I created by folding the bigger ones. Another interactive element for the win! The lovely lemonade chipboard is from the Elizabeth collection.
I created a pocket with a big tag and decorated it with the stripey ribbon from the Bailey kit. Title 'Day Three' is from the Jenny alphabet.
I love these die cuts of pots with the flowers. They were perfect for the park pictures.
Going home (one day earlier, the hot weather was just unbearable) and a beautiful golden title from the Rebekah kit.
You can see a flip through of this album in the video below...
One mini album down, three more to go. Thank you so much for being here with me.
