I love when I can use the Felicity Jane kits for my boys. In this month's Reagan kit that is filled with beautiful feminine pattern papers, it also contains some patterns and colours that can be used for more masculine projects.
For this layout I played with the blue and grey hues in the kit and happily they coordinated with my photo.
To create my background I trimmed each of the pattern papers into strips with different widths and adhered them together. I then used some machine stitching along a couple of the joins for some interest.
I then added my photo and laid my title using the Reagan Chipboard Alphabet from the kit. I included some of the tags from the Reagan Die Cut Shapes in and around the photo and layering under the pattern paper. I also added some stamping detail below my photo to enhance the theme of the layout.
I felt I needed a little bit more subtle pattern to my layout so I used a couple of large hole punches to punch circles from the coordinating pattern papers. I added them to my layout with pop dots for added texture.
I cant wait to dive into my Reagan kit again and next time, I might get a little bit girly!
