What Is Brave? - Bible Journaling | Lindsey Lanning

Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! Today I’m sharing a Bible journaling entry using the new Jaimee Kit from Felicity Jane. Check out the process video to see how it came together!

I recently picked up the “100 Days to Brave” devotional by Annie F. Downs and wanted to do some prayer journaling in my Bible for the first day of devotion. I don’t know about you, but when I get a new kit I have a tendency to try and use #allthethings on my first project! Instead of using tons of the patterned papers, I stitched together some of the branding strips from the Jaimee | Patterned Paper Pack to add some fun texture and color behind my title. Check out the video to see my trick for adding machine stitching details to my Bible (also great for notebooks and journals).

I love adding pockets and tip ins in my Bible (or notebooks) for more private prayer journaling. The vellum pockets in the Jaimee Kit are perfect for this! I layered some more of the branding strips behind the pocket and added some die cuts to the front of the pocket.

A nested tag die set is a staple for me! I can quickly and easily create custom tags, like this one, using some pink grid paper from the Essentials | 12x12 Grid & Dot Grid Paper Pack. I paired the larger tag with one of the small tags from the Jaimee | Die Cut Shapes and dressed it up with a flower die cut and a heart from the Jaimee | Puffy Stickers.

I copied one of Annie’s quotes from her book and left the other side of the tag for my prayer journaling. The grid papers are great for journaling since I’m always writing crooked!

To finish this page, I layered some Lindsey | Buffalo Plaid Washi under one of the Jaimee | Designer Tabs. A quick look through my stamps and I found this “brave” stamp in the Brie | Stamp Set to finish off the tab cluster.

This Bible journaling entry came together so quick and easy and I love that it gives me a more private area to jot down some reflections as I work through this new devotional study. Be sure to head on over to the shop and grab the Jaimee kit if you haven’t already (it has me yearning for Spring!).

Until next time!

<3 Lindsey
