Hello everyone!
Tiffany here with a cute little mini using the Hope mini file folders. I decided to create a little coptic stitch book to document all the things that have been making happy during this time in quarantine.
Don't let the simplicity of this one fool you, I used an assortment of Felicity Jane goodies in this little book! I went with a coptic stitch mini in order to keep the file folders relatively in tact. I wanted them as my pages and didn't want them to overlap. For the cover of my mini, I just used some thin chipboard, which I covered with papers from the Hope kit. I used an embroidered heart on the cover, which I thought was so fitting as the pages in this book detail things that make me happy. On the spine of the book, I used a few heart beads and a charm from the Denise kit.
The very first page, I used the die cut from the kit that says "do more of what makes you happy." I thought it was the perfect sentiment to start off my mini. The following two-page spread is a proper introduction. Here I used a recent photo of myself that I absolutely love and wrote down my intention and purpose for this mini. I like including these little introductions to my mini books because they act as a glimpse of what was going on in my life at that given moment. I can look back on this little book and remember all the little things that got me through this difficult time.
The rest of my pages are quite formulaic. I printed all of my photos as 2x2 squares, which I matted on different pattern papers from the kit. Each photo is lightly embellished with either stickers, washi or a stamp, and each page has a corresponding page where I did all of my journaling about the thing that makes me happy.
I did quite a bit of stamping in this little mini. Except instead of just stamping onto my pages, I used the stamps to create different bits of ephemera to use throughout my mini. This "love" title for instance is the love stamp from the Bailey kit. I stamped it out on some white cardstock then fussy cut around the letters, in order for me to layer them up as I did. I love the versatility of the stamp sets because of this!
This little book ended up being a great representation of all the things that are currently making me happy. I've included photos from a lovely at home photoshoot I did of myself, some fun things my friends and I got up to (virtually of course), a photo of my dog, screenshots from Animal Crossing (I'm absolutely addicted), and various photos of projects I've enjoyed creating.
I tried to keep a balance between my photos and my journaling in this one. There are a few pages though where I let the photo tell the story and simply added a few embellishments to the opposite page. I also made sure to jot down little subtitles on the tabs of the file folders that section off all the things that make me happy.
These are just a few examples of the pages in this little book! Definitely check out the flip through below to get a better look at the rest of the pages and an overall look at the mini itself. I really hope you enjoy!
xxx Tiffany

I love this mini album so much! It is adorable. Is there a video I can watch on how to do this style of binding? I would love to try this. Thanks so much for sharing this little gem of an album 💕
