Hello friends! It's Victoria and I am back with a scrapbook layout featuring the August 2018 Jeana Kit! This week the Creative Media Team was challenged to work with alphabet letters in some way on a scrapbook project.
Included in this month's kit is a set of chipboard alphas - which are perfect for creating unique letter designs! My favorite technique is to use stamping ink or paint to create a dipped effect on alpha letters. To achieve a dipped effect, simply cover part of an alpha letter with washi tape. Next, apply ink or paint to the part of the alpha letter that isn't covered, peel the washi tape, and set the letter aside to dry. And voila! You have dipped alpha letters!
After altering my letters, I began working on the rest of my layout. First, I layered patterned paper behind a 4x6 photo. To the top of the photo, I added a puffy house and two puffy hearts from the Jeana Puffy Shapes pack. Under the photo, I added the backside of a branding strip (green and white stripe) from a piece of patterned paper and a band of typed journaling.
Next, I created two clusters of die cut embellishments on both sides of the layered photo.
Last, to the bottom of the layout I created a layered cluster of die cuts to include a tag, a label that reads "love grows here" and a die cut flower from the Jeana Die Cut pack. The title is positioned above the layered cluster.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you next time!

Victoria, I am so in love with your work. I’m finding it so inspiring. Your layouts are deceptively simple but allowing the focus to be on telling a story. I love the story behind this layout and the beautiful animation on your Mum’s face as she tells it passionately. I found your YouTube blogs and from there I was led to Felicity Jane. I am so loving the products especially this months and I have now become a subscriber. Thanks for the inspiration. Lisa from South Australia
