Hi FJ friends!
Mandy back with you today sharing a traveler’s notebook spread that I created using the beautiful Alexis kit. On this spread I documented some recent photos of my eldest daughter Abi getting her hair cut. This was a big deal for her, as she’d been growing her hair for quite a while, and it was nearly down to her waist! But she decided that it was time for a change, and she had it trimmed to just below her shoulders! I decided to include both a before and after shot to show the comparison. Here’s the spread that I created…
I added the ‘before’ photo to the left hand side of the spread, and behind that photo I layered one of the journaling card from the kit, as well as the yellow dotted patterned paper. The journaling card that I used has the phrase ‘This Happened Today’ on it, which I thought was perfect for this page! On the bottom edge of the photo I added one of the beautiful puffy word stickers. I love how soft and smooth these are, and although I usually try not to use bulky embellishments on my TN spreads, I couldn’t resist adding this to my page! Underneath the title, I created a little cluster using a couple of the die cuts from the kit.
I added a strip of the pink dotty patterned paper down the right hand side of the spread, as well as some black washi tape that I had left over from the London kit. The black washi provides a nice contrast to the bright colours on the page. I added a couple more of the journaling cards as layers behind the photo on the right, and I also tucked a die cut label under the side of the photo, and I attached a cute die cut paperclip on the top corner.
Above the photo I added two of the die cut word labels, as well as a chipboard sticker from the Summer kit.
I finished the spread off with some typed journaling, and a couple of little puffy heart stickers.
