Hi FJ friends!
Mandy here with you today to share a fun layout using the gorgeous Jenny kit! I adore all of the sweet birthday themed elements in this kit, and the colours are so very pretty! It was perfect for documenting a cute photo of my youngest daughter Eleanor unwrapping her presents on her 2nd birthday.
I started my layout off by trimming down my white cardstock background and matting it first with one of the solid color papers in the kit, and then with the scallops patterned paper. Next I used a cut file to cut out a large bunch of balloons using my Silhouette Cameo. I chose three of the beautiful Jenny patterned papers to cut each of the balloons out of, and then I adhered the cut file to my layout using foam tape for added dimension.
The die cuts are always one of my favourite elements in the kit, and this month is no exception! There's a good mixture of fun birthday themed die cuts, as well as non-themed ones. I chose a few to decorate each of the balloons with and I love how cute they look!
Next I matted my photo with the stripes patterned paper, and I tucked it under the edge of the cut file. I also fussy the birthday cake out of one of the journaling cards in the kit, and I adhered it on the right hand side of the photo. I like to look for different ways like this that I can use the journaling cards on my scrapbook layouts.
I LOVE the puffy stickers in this collection, especially that beautiful scripty word 'celebrate'! I decided to combine it with the foam alphabet stickers from the kit to create a fun and interesting title for my layout. How cute are those alphabet stickers?!
To add another fun element to the layout, I decided to scatter some of the Jenny chipboard stars around the page. I used foam tape to adhere some of them, and others I stuck straight to the page. I think this helps to add more interest to the layout.
To finish the layout off I used the Jenny stamp set to stamp some phrases and sentiments around the page.
