Today I have a layout to share with you featuring the gorgeous Denise Kit!
I absolutely love the pretty floral paper in the kit this month! I decided to use it along with some of the grid paper as the border of my page design. The flowers were just begging to be fussy cut too so I chose one to use as a feature embellishment on my page and cut it out from a second piece ready to use.
Across the middle of the page I arranged pieces of the yellow stripe, grid and spot papers along with the photo and my printed journaling blog. These pieces varied in width but were all same height. I punched a hole in the top of the striped piece to create a tag, then I added stitching to each of the papers and journaling for added texture. Twine was added to the top of the striped tag and foam tape was used behind the photo for dimension. The large flower was tucked in behind the left side of the photo and foam dots were added under the outside edge so the petals sit up off the page. I also added some fussy cut leaves and a couple of flower buds too.
I used the chipboard heart speech bubble at the bottom right of the photo then it was time to do a little stamping! I used the “you & me” stamp from the Denise Stamp Set as the title, then added more stamps underneath. The “time together” stamp was added to a Denise Due Cut label and tucked in behind the top of the photo.
I also added a tiny puffy heart to the centre of the small heart stamp, and the two puffy butterfly stamps to the page as well.
If you’d like watch my process you can see it all in the video below…
Have you tried fussy cutting your papers to create embellishments for your projects? It’s such a fun way to make a feature out of your favourite pattern!
Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today! I look forward to sharing another project with you soon!
