Hi scrappy friends!
Ulli here with you today with a small travel inspiration for you! This year September is our vacation month. Since our vacation is shorter than planned before (you probably know the reason ;-) ) we are doing something we've never done. We will travel to the beach to the Netherlands and I am sure we will have some wonderful family time there. I cant wait and so I made a cute travel TN for our vacation!
I used the super pretty Tori floral TN insert with the beautiful roses and it matches perfectly in the scalloped TN cover in Blush. Isn’t this TN insert scalloped cover gorgeous!? I always write some memories down in my travels. I tried it at certain times to scrap there, but I am a perfectionist and I need much more material and silence to scrap results I like later. I also want to enjoy every minute in foreign places with my beloved ones. But I want to write down some things as every vacation so that I don’t forget the wonderful memories and feelings. You know, some things we did and some places were gone.
For the cover I used my favorite FJ alphabet, the Rebekah Puffy Alphabet in white. I wrote the place of our stay in two lines on the TN insert and placed a chipboard heart with tiny dots on the first line to fill the space there. Then I glued the Grace Tag from the Grace Die Cut shapes under it. I glued it on the right border and added the cute ticket from the Tori Die Cut Shapes with the heart on it. I added a label and the Tori Puffy Sticker "Notes" beside it. I love to keep my TN covers simple and with FJ items they dont need more.
For the inside I wrote my journaling and printed it out. I wrote something about the place and our little house near the beach. I glued it on the right side and added the big "9" for the month of September and the "Happy Happy Happy" banner from the Tori Die Cut Shapes over the text. Then I added a label with four little striped puffy stars from the Brooke collection on it and stamped the time period of the vacation with the FJ roller date stamp over it. Of course the wonderful summery Amanda Stamp Set was perfect to set some highlights on this page and so I stamped the phrase "Summer Is A State Of Mind" and a place icon on this page. On the other side I glued a strip from the Grid Paper of the Tori Paper Pack on the border of the page and cut the overlapping paper with my scissors.
I typed the place of our vacation and printed it out and glued it on a black label from a Grace Journaling card. I fussy cut the label and added it under the journaling. I glued one of these wonderful roses of the Tori Die Cuts besides it and the page was ready.
This TN cover and the first pages came together super easily and now I will stamp the dates of every single day on every double page. It's easy to make your own cute travel journal and I hope I have inspired you to make your own with the wonderful FJ Note To Self TN products!
