One of the things I love about small children is how every simple walk down the street is as exciting as a trip to Disneyland! There's the wall with moss on it that she has to stop and stroke; there's the shop with the balloons in the window and that house with the little dog who sits in the window.
It's these less significant memories that I'm likely to forget, so I really wanted to use my December kit to document one wintry walk we took through our village. I thought the prancing deer flair badge sat perfectly next to my painted wood title!
I enjoyed having a good play with the stamp set for this one to create a really pretty, detailed background just behind my main photo cluster. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!
The tulle ruffle along the side was very much an afterthought, but I adore it! I actually went to mat my whole page on a sheet of that gorgeous deer paper, then couldn't bring myself to use the whole piece. Instead of gutting the middle, I decided to just use a strip along the edge - which I think I may prefer.
Why don't you have a go at documenting something very simple from your everyday life? Thanks for joining me today.
