Hello there again, fellow FJ lovers. I’m back again today with another peek inside my December album.
I don’t think I’ll ever tire of this beautiful album, and I’m so glad I have no reason to ever stop. As with most other crafty ladies, I’m terribly behind schedule, but I’m determined to get this finished by the beginning of the year.
I’d say a quarter of the way through isn’t too bad. For these pages I really wanted to do something big and bold every 3 or so pages, so I knew day 3 would be a big one. I really wanted to do a triangular grid on this page, focusing on the amazing patterns in the Noel kit.
I ran all the pieces through my sewing machine for a whimsical feel, and then I chose to pop up one triangular piece to make room for a little star explosion on the corner. I really love how it turned out, and it highlights my photo so well. I finished off this one with a little Santa sticker and a great puffy FJ word for my title; they speak for themselves.
For day 4 I wanted to use one of the amazing divider pockets. I used a little patterned paper, my photo, and my typewriter to fill up the inside. I then embellished the outside of the little folder with my title and my day number. How lovely is that?!
I really love the simplicity of how this little pocket adds character to my December album. I let my red typed journaling do all the talking on the backside. It paired perfectly with the polka dots in the Noel kit.
For the beginning of day 5, I wanted to emulate my day 1 divider. I did this by adding a gold glitter star and my number, then I attached a giant pom-pom clip. Oh my how much fun I have had working through these pages, and I can’t wait to share my others with all of you!
