Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! I don’t know about you but my life has been a little crazy so the #FJ30DayChallenge is turning into a lot longer of a project. But guess what, that’s ok! There are no rules and I’d rather stretch out a project and really enjoy it rather than feel the pressure to get it done in certain time frame or done a certain way. Check out my process video to see how I put together two more pages for this challenge in my deconstructed TN insert.
I went through and wrote out the prompts on sticky notes and stuck them throughout my mini book so now I can jump around and work on the prompts as I feel inspired or have photos for them.
For the “What are you excited about?” prompt, I’m documenting this photo of my future craft space that I designed on the Ikea website. Since the image has lots of straight lines and measurements I went for this ombre grid paper from the Brie | Paper Pack for the base of my page.
I wanted the image to be pretty big so I just backed it with some tissue paper and cut apart one of the Lola | Die Cuts to jazz it up a bit. The Lola | Stamp Set has some great words to work with this journaling project, like the “currently” that I stamped on a label. Who else is obsessed over the Essentials | Mini Puffy Alphabet? They are great for mixing and matching to create titles and journaling!
There were a lot of greys in the photo so I decided to just leave the Jeana | Chipboard Alpha grey and mixed them with some more of the Essentials | Mini Puffy Alphabets. Little secret: I cut apart a ‘B’ to make an ‘F’ since I had ran out...don’t be afraid to do surgery on your alpha stickers!
I finished off the page with a label, date stamp, and one of the Lola | Chipboard Pieces.
By keeping these pages simple I can get several done in one sitting. I love that some of these prompts don’t necessarily require you to have a photo to document like “10 most played songs on your playlist - why are they your favorite?”
I was hoarding that cute little cassette tape from the Lola | Die Cut Pieces to use with this prompt. This paper from the Lola | Paper Pack left the perfect space to create a cluster with that cassette tape and some florals from the Lola | Die Cut Pieces.
Lots of pieces from Felicity Jane incorporate gold foiling so I gold heat embossed “CURRENTLY LISTENING TO”, using the Lola | Stamp Set. This page was fairly simple but adding details, like gold heat embossing, can dress it up a little.
I quickly typed out 10 songs and their details, printed them on cardstock, and then cut them into strips before staggering them along the bottom of the page. Some more gold heat embossing using that little triangle stamp from the Lola | Stamp Set helps keep things a little more organized.
These 10 songs have been on constant repeat for me recently and really speak to me with the season I’ve been in. They are all so different but at the same time are all so similar in the message...He is my strength and all I need! If you are looking for an uplifting playlist, I did create a #FJ30DayChallenge playlist with these songs on Spotify for you to enjoy!
How are you doing with the #FJ30DayChallenge? It’s not too late to join us...I’m finding that it’s a great project for using up my stash (I may or may not have hoarding tendencies with craft supplies LOL)
Until next time!
<3 Lindsey
