Hi! Dannielle here, and I am back to share some more inspiration using the really fantastic "Summer" kit.
Here is a look at my finished layout
I shared a layout on my Instagram account last month very similar to this one using the Willow kit. I remember loving how clean and simple it was. It very much let my photo, and my story be the star of the show, which is the whole point right. When I sat down to work on this layout, I wanted to take that same clean and simple approach, but tweak it just a bit.
Scrap lifting yourself is always a great idea. For this layout I am scrap lifting a layout I did just last month, but it is also fun to scrap lift a layout you did last year, or 5 years ago. It is always fun to take a fresh approach to an old design that is already your style!
When creating simple layouts, its all about the little details. I added some red twine to add some more interest, but it was also another opportunity to add some more red to my page to tie in the red boarder.
I added a row of squares to the bottom of my layout. Again I took another opportunity to add some extra detail. I found a couple of buttons from my stash that matched the colors of my layout perfectly, and added them to a random square. I love buttons almost as much as I love tags!!
To add one last little detail, I decided to stitch around my page a couple of times. Super easy layout, but I still totally love the design of it. I have a feeling I will be scrap lifting this layout again sometime soon.
