I mentioned in my last post how I am using my December kits to document some of my most favorite and memorable childhood Christmas memories. It has been so much fun to take a walk down memory lane. This past week I carved out a few hours to record a couple more memories.
Can I just say how much I LOVE that gold album!!
I have a ton of Santa memories, and a ton of pictures to go with them. There is one memory that sticks out from all the rest, and that is the one I decided to put in my album. I think the red Ho Ho Ho card is so cute and obviously is perfect for this story. I don't think you can tell from the picture, but my journaling is printed out in strips and then taped to my card. I like the added texture and interest the strips bring to my otherwise simple page.
For my second layout I tell the story about the year I got my bass guitar. My journaling focuses less on actually getting the guitar and more on the experiences that came from learning how to play it. I started a lot of my sentences with "what I didn't know then."
I love how this page came together. Words + photo and a few simple embellishments. The card that has big white polka dots is actually cut from a bag that some embellishments came in. To make that pocket just a little more special, I added the gold enamel dots to all the white circles. I really like how it turned out!
I already created a title page for my album, which would have been perfectly fine on its own, but I decided to add a "my reason why" tag. I think it is a nice touch, plus it gave me a great spot to use some of the super fun strings and fibers that came in the kit.
(PS. I am aware of the misspelled word!! It has been corrected. My only excuse... I'm sick)

I love your pages, Dannielle! And this tag is such a great idea and I love that you’ve used all of the ribbons together. Such a beautiful album!
