Hey there, it’s Kathleen here again and today I finally have a layout to share with you again. Don’t get me wrong, I love creating something else from time to time, like this one-sheet mini album I shared a while ago, or this set of encouragement cards made with the Hannah kit. But it was nice to create a layout again!

For this page I decided to use up some scraps and bits and pieces of past Felicity Jane kits to document an event that is very special to me. In September I was given the opportunity to teach four workshops in Valencia (Spain) to celebrate the 6th anniversary of a lovely scrapbooking store there. It was exhausting but SO much fun! I enjoyed it very much and will treasure the memories forever!

I began by layering some scraps that I had left from the Lola kit behind my photo, and I also tucked in a journaling card (from the Brooke kit) because I knew that I would want to add a lot of journaling to this page - too much to add it directly onto the layout.

I often work with tags and little glassine bags to add hidden journaling to my layouts. This time, however, I wanted to do it a little differently. So I stitched the smaller paper scrap (with the floral pattern) to the larger scrap piece (the black and white heart pattern) to create a little pocket for the journaling card. And because the card is a little larger than the floral scrap, I only stitched it down on the left side and on the bottom edge (which you can’t see because of the flower die cut).

To add a little bit of party-feeling to this layout, I used the plastic packaging from a set of journaling cards for a shaker pocket, put in some of the heart confetti from the Lola kit, and layered it behind the journaling card. I also used the stencil that was included in the Alexis kit and some sparkly texture paste for a little bit of sparkle and glitter in the background.

I also used some flower die cuts (one from the Lola kit and the other, I believe, is from the Brie kit), and other little bits and pieces from various past kits to embellish my page in colors that would match my photo.

Finally, when it came to the title, I didn’t have enough space left for anything that came to my mind (like “celebrate“ or sth. along that line), so instead I used the Brie stamp set to stamp “dream big“ a few times and then just added the date with those gorgeous gold puffy alpha stickers.

This page came together really quickly and easily and I believe it’s mostly down to the fact that the Felicity Jane kits all coordinate so well! I mean, I mixed products from more than four different kits on this layout and you wouldn’t even know!

So I hope this page inspires you to get out all of the little bits and pieces you have left from your Felicity Jane kits and create something with them!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day,
