Hey FJ friends!
Tina here today to share with you my first project using the wonderful Shay kit. The cover of the Shay paper pack has totally inspired me to create this layout. Just look at all the colors and pattern combination, it's a perfect and already made background!
To start off with, I cut the paper pack's cover into strips and than chose the ones I want to use for my layout. After that I trimmed the strips, adhered them to the both sides of the notebook spread and added zigzag stitching. Than I matted the photo of my precious cat with a brush pattern paper. And to create some layering I added a tag at the back of the photo made with the help of the Tag Builder metal die set.
I also made two smaller tags, tied them together with a piece of twine, put a puffy word sticker "moments" on the top one and attached them to the photo with a paper clip.
On the right hand side of the spread I created a huge title using a quote about cats and alphabet stickers from Shay and Jaimee collections.
As finishing touches I added a few Shay die cut shapes to the layout. I should say that I'm totally in love with this month's florals, they are amazing! I'm pretty sure they will be the first ones I'll run out of among all the embellishments.
So that's all. Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today! I'll be back soon to share more Shay inspiration with you!
