I am thrilled to be back on the Felicity Jane blog today sharing another project using the lovely Mila kit.
When I opened my kit the first thing that got my attention was the stunning black floral pattern paper. I knew I had to use it on a layout. It was just so pretty I had to make it a feature on the page as you will see below.
I trimmed a piece of the floral pattern paper in half vertically and adhered it to the yellow dot pattern paper. I added in a strip of that yellow stripe from a third piece of pattern paper to act as a border on the left side.
I then layered my photos and embellishments over the yellow spot vertical strip of pattern paper.
I took the Picture Perfect 3x4 journalling card and used a circle punch to cut it into a circle and slipped it under the bottom of my photo. I then layered a couple of the tags from the Die Cut shapes set next to the circle. I added one of the foam words over my photo for another touch of texture!
I used a cloud punch and another of the 3x4 cards for a fun embellishment above my photo and added my journalling strips vertically next to my photo as well.
I just love the contrast between the black floral and yellow spot. It really makes a statement on my layout!
