While I excitedly wait for the super cute new Caroline Kit to arrive on my doorstep, I've been busy creating a traveler's notebook spread using pieces from the Jane Kit and lovely Felicity Jane stamps.
First of all I printed out the journaling using my favourite typewriter font and cut the pieces to fit nice inside my traveler's journal.
I chose to use up some of the leftover pieces of the yellow geometric paper since it was lovely and subtle and went nicely with the yellow tones in the photos. I also added a little stitching using my sewing machine on each page.
I wanted the main photo to flip up to reveal another photo of some messages Paul and I sent each other that day. I backed the main photo with one of the cards from the 12 x 12 cut apart sheet and attached it to the page with a strip of washi at the top. I then folded one of the labels from the cut apart sheet and stapled it to the photo to create a little tab for flipping.
On the other side of the spread I had more journaling at the top of the page with my photo underneath.
I added another label to the side of this photo along with a little yellow heart from the cut apart sheet, then added some of the little cardstock stars from the kit as well across the spread.
To finish off I had fun decorating with a variety of Felicity Jane stamps across the two pages, along with my date stamp and a little 'XO' stamp from my stash. I really love how beautifully the Felicity Jane images always stamp onto the paper!
Here's a process video I've put together for this spread:
I love how this spread turned out and I've had so much fun creating with the Jane Kit! I look forward to sharing some Caroline projects with you very soon.
